NCO Class 5 Syllabus

The NCO is a competitive exam for pupils in grades 1 to 10. The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is in charge of organising the competition. It is one of the most well-known olympiad tests, emphasising computational and thinking skills in a similar way to previous olympiad tests. First and foremost, NCO stands for National Cyber Olympiad. Students in grades 1 to 10 are eligible to compete in the NCO exam. The test’s goal is to assist students to improve their mental capacities, logical reasoning skills, and analytical reasoning abilities. The National Cyber Olympiad is a single level examination. It is normally held in December or January.

Overview of the Exam

Exam Pattern

The NCO test is broken down into three sections.

  • Section I includes questions for students in grades 1 to 5 related to patterns, series, and classifications. For students in grades 6 to 10, Section I covers both verbal and nonverbal thinking challenges.
  • Section II comprises questions about computers, information technology, and technical advancements.
  • Section III – High-order thinking skills make up the third section. Every grade has the same topic, but the level of difficulty varies and continues to increase.

A 60-minute test with 35 objective-type questions for classes 1 to 4 and 50 objective-type questions for classes 5 to 10 are included in the question paper.
