NCO Exam Date 2022-2023

The National Cyber Olympiad, held every year in India, is a computer skill contest for students in Classes 1 to 10. It gives students of different fields a chance to learn and evaluate their skills in order to better their education. The NCO exam was held three times in three years, 2009, 2011, and 2016, with remarkable success. Regardless of academic performance, the students can participate in the NCO. For SOF NCO 2022, each institution can register a minimum of 5 students.

Highlights of the Examination

The SOF NCO is available to students in grades 1 to 10. A prospectus comprising registration forms is sent to all SOF-registered schools. Schools that have not yet registered may request a prospectus by emailing the SOF’s official mail or calling the office. The exam’s major goal is to increase youth knowledge of internet security and computer abilities, as well as to create a platform that helps students gain confidence and boldness by teaching them more about computers and information technology.

  • Only students from grades 1 to 10 are eligible to participate.
  • Students should fill out the application form and send it to their school.
  • Individual submissions are not accepted by the Science Olympiad Foundation.
  • All students must take a course in computer and information technology.

Dates of NCO for 2022-2023

The SOF NCO is held on two dates. The SOF NCO can be conducted on any date that is convenient for the school. It is not possible to change the date of the SOF NCO. Individual student registrations are not accepted, and only the registrations through schools are accepted.

Last Year’s Date

The exam was cancelled for the academic year 2021-2022 due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The exam was set for January 1 and 2, 2022, and January 29 and 30, 2022. However, the examination will only take place if it is secure to do so. The exam may be rescheduled or cancelled, depending on the circumstances.

The Academic Year 2022 -2023

The SOF NCO will be held on the following days for the academic year 2022-2023. The SOF NCO can be conducted on any date that is convenient for the school. The NCO exam date is given below.

Pointers on Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The SOF NCO Olympiad syllabus is based on major educational boards such as CBSE, ICSE, State Board, and others. The curriculum is created in accordance with these boards and considering students’ average thinking capacity. The exam’s major topics include logical reasoning and mathematical skills that are necessary for the field of computer technology. The NCO curriculum is structured in such a way that it emphasises critical thinking and technological abilities. The NCO exam is broken down into three stages.

  • Section I for students in grades 1 to 5. This section contains questions about patterns, series, and classifications. For students in grades 6 to 10, Section I covers verbal and nonverbal thinking exercises.
  • Section II consists of computer, information technology, and technical advancements-related questions.
  • Section III focuses on high-order thinking questions. Every grade has the same topic, but the difficulty level varies and continues to increase.

The question paper consists of 35 objective-type questions for 60 minutes.
