The National Standard Examination in Chemistry is jointly conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education and the Indian Association of Physics Teachers. This exam is held every year in November, and numerous examination centres are designated for its administration. The National Science Education Centre promotes chemistry as a topic and stimulates interest in it. The NSEC promotes students’ achievements depending on their examination results. This exam is designed for students who want to pursue chemistry as mainstream and want to gain knowledge on the subject by participating in the exam. Students who pass this exam will have the opportunity to compete in INCO (Indian National Chemistry Olympiad).
