The RMO (Regional Maths Olympiad) is the second stage of the mathematics talent search examination conducted in India. The Regional Coordinator administers the exam under the supervision of HBCSE, Mumbai. This exam is only available in a few locations in the region, and the exam will take three hours and contain six questions. The exam is sometimes given in English/Hindi or other regional languages.

The International Mathematical Olympiad program is divided into six phases, and candidates must pass all of them to get to the final round. Candidates from grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 who perform well in RMO are chosen for INMO. The RMO test assesses students’ problem-solving and logical thinking abilities. To determine a student’s ability to solve problems in the RMO, they must perform well in the Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad. The RMO Result will be determined based on their performance.
RMO Result 2021-22
The exam is a descriptive test with six questions that students must answer in three hours. Students are given an answer sheet and rough sheets. Students must return their answer sheets and rough sheets at the end of the exam, although they can keep the question paper.
What is the Procedure for Obtaining the RMO Result?
Students who take the RMO exam can view their provisional and final results by following the steps below.
- Log in to the official website. Secure.hbcse.tifr.res.in is the official website.
- Enter your roll number and date of birth on the homepage.
- Then double-check the captcha and press the login button.
- The RMO Result will appear on the screen.
- Take a screenshot or printout of the Result.
