SOF ISSO can be taken by students in grades 3 to 10. There are no other eligibility requirements, such as minimum grades. The SOF ISSO will be held on two dates, the first on December 22, 2022, and the second on January 24, 2023. The SOF ISSO exam has only one level. Olympiad competitors are ranked based on their performance. As a result, students can evaluate themselves academically at five separate levels after taking the test: within the school, at the city level, at the zonal level, at the region level, and, most importantly, at the international level. A Student Performance Report (SPR) is sent to each student. We will discuss more on SOF ISSO 2022-2023 in this article.

SOF ISSO Exam Pattern
The SOF International Social Studies Olympiad is a single-level exam.
The test is organised in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
(i) The level 1 competition is a test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for Classes 1 to 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for Classes 5 to 10.
(ii) The question paper consists of class-wise sections:

(iii) SOF ISSO is conducted on 2 dates. Each school may select a date for conducting the SOF ISSO as per its convenience. There are separate question papers for each date of the exam. Change of date for conducting the SOF ISSO is not permitted. SOF ISSO is a single-level exam.
(iv) The medium of the test is English.
(v) CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
(vi) The exam is conducted during school hours.
SOF ISSO Registration
Students in grades 3 to 10 are eligible to follow the SOF ISSO. Principals and teachers should be aware that any school can register as a SOF ISSO Level 1 centre. The institution does not have to pay a fee to become a registered examination centre.
All SOF-registered schools receive a prospectus comprising registration forms. Schools that have not yet registered may request a prospectus by emailing info@sofworld.org or phoning 0124-4951200. By the due date, schools must return the registration forms to SOF duly filled out and complete in all respects.
Roll Number
School Registration Form (SRF) and Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS): The school’s coordinating teacher should fill out the School Registration Form (SRF) and Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS) according to the instructions and submit them to the SOF’s office before the deadline. SOF will register the applicant’s school and students using the Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS) provided by the school, and SOF will assign roll numbers to everyone.
Registration Fee
Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal pay a registration fee of Rs 125* (including GST) per student/Olympiad to SOF to help cover the cost of the examination. Schools may charge an additional Rs 25** per student to cover the honorarium of the in-charge, instructor salary, and other expenditures. Students with a serious physical disability or an Indian student whose parent was martyred in a defence operation do not have to pay a fee.
