The Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) initiative in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Education (formerly known as the Ministry of Human Resources and Development).

The VVM (Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan) is a national-level programme for popularising science among school children in Grades 6-11, with the goal of identifying young minds with scientific potential. The second component of the evaluation of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM), after screening the First Level Online Exam, is the State Level Camp (SLC). At the state level, the top 20 students from each class will be chosen, for a total of 120 students. Out of these 120, the best 3 students from each state, as well as the top 2 students from each class, for a total of 12 students from each state, will be invited to a two-day National Level Camp.

Objectives of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM)
- To create interest among students in pure science
- To provide students with hands-on training through workshops and other activities.
- To hold competitive exams in order to identify students with a scientific bent of mind.
- To foster and encourage successful students at the state and national levels.
- To arrange visits for the awardees to various R&D centres throughout the country.
Structure of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM)
Students who participate in VVM must go through the following multi-level testing procedures:
- Objective Type Questions with Multiple-choice Answers
- Extensive Writing
- Group Discussion and Presentation
- Role Playing
- Examination in Practice
- Science Methodologies
- The programme also includes trips to prestigious national science laboratories and centres, as well as interactions with prominent national scientists. Vigyan Jigyasu – Keen Knowledge Seeker of Science will be recognised at the national level by the VVM.
- Each student will be evaluated in comparison to their classmates at all levels, including school, state, and national.

VVM Exam Fees Structure
Students who register individually or through their school must pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only).
The school/institute coordinator is asked to keep Rs. 30/- per student as a service charge. The remaining amount will be transmitted to the VVM Delhi office exclusively through the online payment mode. In the event of an account payment, please upload the receipt and transaction ID and submit the transaction information.
