PIMS AICET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Below are the eligibility criteria for M.B.B.S/BDS program.

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The nationality certificate issued by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate/District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate or a valid passport will be accepted as a proof of Nationality.
  • The qualifying exam, or HSC (or equivalent), must have been passed by the candidate with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English subjects.
  • Candidates who fall under the general category must have earned a minimum of 50% in the combined Physics, Chemistry, and Biology sections of the HSC (or equivalent) exam in addition to passing the individual courses of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Candidates who belong to backward classes must have cleared with a minimum of 40% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English combined on the HSC (or equivalent) exam in addition to passing in each of those courses individually.
  • The applicant must either be 17 years old on December 31, the academic year for which admission is sought, or have reached that age by that date.
  • Candidates who are taking the HSC (or an equivalent) in February or March of the relevant academic year are eligible to take the entrance exam, but they must also meet the eligibility requirements at the time of counselling.
  • Candidates from the general category must score at least 50% on the NEET exam conducted by the NTA. But admission will be determined by merit.
  • Candidates from underprivileged groups must score at least 40% in the NEET exam, which is administered by the NTA. But admission will be determined by merit.
  • Applicants who have studied (qualifying examination) under foreign system in India, must obtain equivalence certificate from Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi.

Below are the eligibility criteria for MSc/Diploma/MD/MS/MDS program.

  • Candidates for postgraduate medical and dental courses must possess an MBBS or BDS from an institution authorised by MCI or DCI.
  • A candidate who has completed one year of mandatory rotating internship, or is likely to complete the same on or before 30th April of respective academic year, may appear for NEET examination.
  • All such candidates will have to submit documentary proof, from the Principal/Dean of the College regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.
  • Any state council or MCI/DCI (where applicable) permanent registration shall be obtained by the applicants. If an applicant does not already have such registration, he or she must do it within one month of the admission date.
  • Candidates who have previously been enrolled in, are now enrolled in, have successfully completed, or have already earned a PG degree are ineligible to participate in the NEET.
  • Candidates who were previously admitted to a PG degree programme and quit their position are ineligible to participate in the NEET.
  • Candidates who have earned or will complete a postgraduate diploma in medicine by the end of the academic year will only be able to apply for admission to postgraduate degrees in that subject through NEET.
  • The applicant should have taken the NEET test offered by the NTA/NBE and obtain a minimum of 50%. But, the admissions take place on the basis of merit.

Below are the eligibility criteria for the Dental postgraduate program.

  • Candidates for postgraduate dentistry courses must obtain a BDS from an institution authorised by DCI.
  • A candidate may take the NEET exam if they have completed the one-year mandatory rotating internship requirement or are likely to do so by April 30 of the relevant academic year.
  • All such candidates must present documentary evidence, from the Principal or Dean of the College, regarding the anticipated date of completion of the internship, together with the manual application form.
  • A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with DCI or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.
  • Candidates who have been admitted to a PG degree programme previously and quit their position are ineligible to participate in the NEET.
  • The candidate must have taken the NEET exam administered by the NTA or NBE and must have received at least a 50% score. But admission will be determined by merit.

Below are the eligibility criteria for B.Sc Nursing program.

  • The entry age for the candidate must be 17 years on or before December 31 of the admission year.
  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The qualifying exam, or HSC (or equivalent), must have been passed by the candidate in Biology, English, Physics, and chemistry.
  • A general category candidate must have scored at least 45% in PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) in the HSC (or equivalent) exam.
  • SC/ST category candidates must have scored at least 40% in PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) in the HSC (or equivalent) exam.
  • To be eligible for the AICET, the candidate must have been born on or before December 31, 1994.
  • The candidate should be appeared for the AICET Examination conducted by this University and should get a minimum of 40% marks. However, admission will be based on merit.

Below are the eligibility criteria for the Master of Public Health (MPH) course.

  • Candidate should have completed B.Sc. (Public Health, Health Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Agriculture, Nursing, Zoology, Veterinary Sciences, Home Science, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Dairy Science, etc.)
  • Candidates who have completed B.A. (Journalism, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology) L.L.B. Social Work are eligible to apply for PIMS AICET 2022.
  • Candidates who have completed graduation in Medical Science (MBBS, BUMS, BAMS, BHMS), Dentistry, Physiotherapy, and Pharmacy are eligible to apply for the PIMS AICET exam.
  • Applicants who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the above-mentioned subjects from any Indian University or their equivalent can apply for the MPH course through PIMS AICET.

PIMS AICET 2022 Eligibility for International Students

Foreign students: Students with passports from other nations, including those of Indian descent who have taken on the nationality of other nations.

NRIs (Non-Resident Indians): Only non-resident Indian students who have completed their studies and passed the prerequisite exams in universities or colleges abroad will be counted as international students. This includes pupils who are enrolled in international schools or colleges that are affiliated with Indian secondary education boards or Universities, but excludes those who are enrolled in Indian schools or colleges that are also affiliated with foreign boards of secondary education or universities.

Students who pass the required exams from Boards or Universities in other nations while studying abroad in India as external students or as dependents of NRIs will not be granted the status of international students.

International students will be retained at their entry-level status when they enter the nation.

Admission is only open to students with credentials that the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has acknowledged as equal.

A applicant must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31.

Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English must have been studied in Class 11 and 12 for applicants to the medical programme.

Only pupils who attended and completed the qualifying exam from a school in a foreign nation will be considered under this category. This will include the student studying in a school and/or college in a foreign country, even if the concerned school/college is affiliated with any Board of secondary education or a University in India.

Equivalence Certificate:

For the issue of an equivalence Certificate, US $ 200 or equivalent Indian currency payable through Demand Draft favouring “Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi” is required.
