The Punjab School Education Board was founded in the year 1969 and its headquarter is located in Chandigarh city. The PSEB is well-known for its quality education and academic structure. Every year in the month of March and April, this board conducts exams for both Class 11 and 12. Here, in this article we have provided details of the PSEB Exam pattern for Classes 10 and 12.
Exam pattern for Class 10 and 12
Both Class 10 and 12 are a crucial stage in every student’s life as it shapes the student’s career. Therefore, students appearing for the board exams should prepare effectively to perform their best in the examinations. The Punjab Board has subject experts who are mainly involved in designing the question papers after carefully researching the syllabus.
The Exam pattern provided here gives students a clear idea about the original question paper, which reduces students exam anxiety and makes them confident before the exam.
The pattern of examination is officially divided into four sections:
- Section A includes objective type of questions carrying 1 mark each.
- Section B includes very short type of questions carrying 2 marks each.
- Section C includes short type of questions carrying 4 marks each.
- Section D includes long type of questions carrying 6 marks each.
In all the sections, all questions are compulsory and each question carries individual marks. The total duration for each subject is 3 hours. The details of the exam pattern are given below:
