given volume = 44.8ml
so, number of mole of compound = given Volume/22400 ml
= $$\dfrac{44.8ml}{22400ml}$$
= $$\dfrac{2}{1000}$$ = 0.002 
we know, no of moles of compound = given weight/molecular weight of compound
so, 0.002 = 116mg/molecular weight of compound
is, molecular weight of compound = $$\dfrac {116 \times 10^{-3}} {0.002}$$ 
= 58g/mol
