A $100\mu F$ capacitor is charged with a $50V$ source supply. Then source supply is removed and the capacitor is connected across an inductance, as a result of which $5A$ current flows through the inductance. Calculate the value of the inductance.

Herer, $C=100\mu F={10}^{-4}F$,

$V=50volt,I=5A,L=?$

As energy stored i inductor=energy stored in capacitor,
$\therefore \frac{1}{2}C{V}^2=\frac{1}{2}L{I}^2$

$L=\frac{C{V}^2}{I^2}=\frac{100\times {10}^{-6}\times 50\times 50}{5\times 5}$

$=\frac{{10}^{-4}\times (50{)}^2}{(5{)}^2}$
$=0.01H$
