Length of a verandah = 36 m = 360 dm (1 m = 10 dm)

Breadth of a verandah = 15 m = 150 dm

Area of verandah= 360 × 150 = 54000 dm2

Length of a stone = 6 dm
The breadth of a stone = 5 dm

Area of stone = 6 × 5 = 30 dm2

Total stones need to pave the verandah =area of verandaharea of stone=5400030=1800
