In the given reaction, 2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O

Partial pressure of H₂ = 0.588 atm and Partial pressure of O₂ = 0.302 atm

The ratio of stoichiometric coefficients of H₂ and O₂ = 2:1

Partial pressure of H₂ required to react with 0.302 atm of O₂ :
= 2 x 0.302 = 0.604, which is less than the given amount (0.588 atm).

Hence, H₂ is the limiting reagent.
