B= Non volatile acid
C= Oxidizing agent
D= Dehydrating agent.

Solution

(i) When a normal salt reacts with a non volatile acid, a volatile acid is obtained as a product. Hence, to obtain HCl which is a volatile acid the acid used must be non volatile. So, non volatile property of sulphuric acid is used here.
2NaCl+H2SO4Na2SO4+2HCl(g)

(ii) CuSO4 is a salt of copper and CuO is a base. Hence it is a typical property of an acid that , acid reacts with base to form salt and water.
CuO+H2SO4CuSO4+H2O

(iii) Oxidation reaction involves addition of oxygen. When a non metal reacts with an acid, it gets oxidized.
S+2H2SO43SO2+2H2O
