A bag contains 7 white, 6 red and 2 black balls. One ball is taken out at random. Find the probability that the ball drawn is:
i) white
ii) neither red nor white
iii) either white or red or black
iv) not black

Each subpart: 1 Mark each

Total number of balls = 7 + 6 + 2 = 15
i) Number of white balls = 7
P(white) =715

ii) Number of balls that are neither red or white =1567=2
P(neither red nor white) =215

iii) Number of balls that are either white or red or black =7+6+2
P(either white or red or black) =1515=1 (sure event)

iv) Number of balls that are not black=152=13
P(not black) =1315
