A ball is held at rest in position A as shown in the figure by two light cords. The horizontal cord is cut and the ball swings as a pendulum. What is the ratio of the tensions in the supporting cord of length l , in position A to that in position B ?

Let the Tension on the horizon at
cord and cord of length l be T,

So in balancing condition A
T,=Tsinθ....(1)
mg=Tcosθ...(2)
m position Bmg=Tcosθ...(3)
(3)/(2) L =TT
So The ratio of the two tensions at position A and B in one
