Total number of fruits = Number of bananas + Number of apples + Number of oranges.

Method:––––––––

Given: Total number of fruits = 20
Number of bananas = 10
Number of apples = 5

Let the number of oranges = x (a random variable)
Any letter can be used as a variable but x is most frequently used variable.

Then, according to the given condition

10+5+x=20
15+x=20

On subtracting '15' from both sides of the equation, we get
15+x15=2015
x=5

Beetle's basket has 5 oranges available in it.
