The correct option is C $$\sqrt{5} ms^{-2}$$
$$a_{1} = 2\ ms^{-2}, v = u + a_{1}t = 1 + 2\times 2 = 5\ ms^{-1}$$
$$a_{c} = \dfrac {v^{2}}{r} = \dfrac {5^{2}}{25} = 1\ ms^{-2}$$
Net acceleration $$= \sqrt {a_{c}^{2} + a_{t}^{2}} = \sqrt {1^{2} + 2^{2}} = \sqrt {5} ms^{-2}$$.
