Question

A body is moving in a circular path with a constant speed if it has
  1. a constant velocity.
  2. an acceleration which varies with time in magnitude.
  3. a constant acceleration
  4. an acceleration of constant magnitude.

Solution

The correct option is D an acceleration of constant magnitude.
We know that
ac=v2r is constant in magnitude if v is constant.
where ac is centripetal acceleration,
v is speed and ‘r’ is the radius of the circle.

Direction of velocity vector and acceleration change constantly but the magnitude of acceleration is always constant.

Hence option C is the correct answer.
