Number of yellow flowers = 8

Total number of flowers in the box = 7 + 5 + 4 + 8 = 24

Total number of possible outcomes = 24

Number of favourable outcomes = Number of pink flowers + Number of yellow flowers

= 4 + 8

= 12

Probability of an event, P(E) = number of favourable outcomestotal number of outcomes
