Initial velocity u =90km/hr= $90 \times \frac{1000}{3600} = 25$ m/s
Final velocity v = 36km/hr = $36 \times \frac{1000}{3600} = 10 m / s$
time= 5s
Using first equation of motion,
v = u + at
a = v-u/t
a=10-25/5
a= -3m/s²
Since the speed of the bus is decreasing, therefore the value of the acceleration is in negative.
