Given data:
Speed, S1 is 40 km/hr
Speed, S2 is 60 km/hr
Time, T1 is 15 minutes =14 hr
Time, T2 is 15 minutes =14 hr

Using S1 and T1 in the equation:
Distance = Speed ×Time

D1=S1×T1
=40×14
=10 kms

Using S2 and T2 in the equation:
Distance = Speed × Time

D2=S2×T2
=60×14
=15 kms

Total kms covered =D1+D2=10+15=25 kms.
