Solution

Step 1: Find the profit earn by the company

Profit gained while selling 1 bag of white cement=8

Profit gained while selling 3000 bags of white cement

=8×3000=24000

Step 2: Find the loss suffered by the company

The loss suffered while selling 1 bag of grey cement=5

The loss suffered while selling 5000 bags of grey cement

=5×5000=25000

Step 3: Find the net profit or loss

We indicate profit in positive integer and loss in negative integer.

Total profit or loss gained=Profit+Loss

=24000+(25000)=1000

Since the loss suffered by the company is greater that the profit gain.

Therefore, a loss of 1000 will be suffered by the company.
