Open in App
Solution

Diameter of the pond =14 m
Radius of the inner circle (pond), r=7 m

Width of the concrete path =1.75 m

Radius of outer circle (Including pond + Path), R=7+1.75=8.75 m

Area of the path = Area of the outer circle Area of the inner circle

=πR2πr2

=π(R2r2)

=227×(R+r)(Rr)

=227×(8.75+7)(8.757)

=227×15.75×1.75

=86.625 m2
