Solution

The correct option is D 11 AM
Approach 1:
It is given that clock gains 12 min in 12 hours.
Clock gains 1 min in every 1 hour.

Total number of hours from Sunday 11 AM to Friday 1 PM are 122
Now,
New clock shows 61 mins in 60 min of true clock.
New clock shows 6160 hours in 1 hour of true clock.
So, when new clock shows 122 hours, then the true clock shows 6061×122 hours=120 hours

So the time true clock shows after 120 hours from Sunday 11 AM is 11 AM on Friday.

Hence, option B.

Approach 2:
It is given that clock gains 12 min in 12 hours.
Clock gains 1 min in every 1 hour.

Let assume today's clock is set and is Sunday so 6th day it will Friday.
Now, from 11 AM of Sunday to 12 AM of Monday, it gains 13 min in these 13 hours.
Now, total hours from Monday 12 AM to Friday 12 AM are 96
Therefore, clock gains 96 mins in these 96 hours
And from Friday 12 AM to Friday 11 AM, number of hours are 11
So, clock gained 11 mins in these 11 hours also.

So Total number of actual hours =13+96+11=120
And clocked also gained 120 mins.
So the clock shows 2 hours more than the actual time.

But right now, the clock is showing 1 PM
the actual time is 11 AM of Friday.

B is right answer.
