Solution

The correct option is C

1:1

Genotype of parent plant with axillary flower: AA
Genotype of parent plant with terminal flower: aa

F1 : AA X aa
F1 generation produces only heterozygous (Aa) offsprings.

F2 : Aa X Aa
Out of possible F2 progenies in monohybrid cross:

  • 14th are homozygous dominant (AA).
  • 12 are heterozygous dominant(Aa).
  • 14th are homozygous recessive (aa).

Thus, the fraction of homozygous progeny is 14 + 14 = 12, while the fraction of heterozygous being 12 .
Therefore, the ratio between all the homozygous and heterozygous plants is:
12 : 12 = 1:1
