Volume of water in the reservoir =80×60×6.5=31200 m3

Area of the cross-section of the square pipe =20×20=400 cm2

Volume of the water emptied in one hour =400 cm2×15 km/hr

=0.04×15000=600 m3
Time taken to empty the reservoir =Volume of water in the reservoirVolume of water emptied in one hour=31200600=52 hours
