Question

A cuboidal vessel in $$10$$ m long and $$8$$ m wide. How high must it be made to hold $$380$$ cubic metres of a liquid?


Solution

Given:
$$\Rightarrow$$$$l=10m$$, $$b=8m$$

$$\Rightarrow$$Let the height of a cuboidal vessel be $$h$$

$$\Rightarrow$$$$V=l\times b\times h$$ $$=10\times 8\times h$$

$$\Rightarrow$$$$380=80h$$

$$h=\cfrac{380}{80}{m}^{3}=4.75$$m$$^{3}$$
