Open in App
Solution

Selling price of the floor spread = Rs 760
Discount = 5%
Let the marked price be Rs x.
Discount = Marked Price × p.c. discount
= x × 5%
=5x100
Selling price =Marked Price − Discount
⇒ Marked Price= Selling price + Discount
⇒ x = 760 + 5x100
⇒ 760 = x − 5x100
95x100 = 760
⇒ x = 800
∴ The marked price of the floor spread is Rs 800.
