Solution

The correct option is C

Straight line perpendicular to the horizontal

Solution:

Let v1 be the velocity of the plane w.r.t to ground.

vA = v1^i

Then vB = v1^i gt^j

As the package has an initial velocity of v1^i and an acceleration of g downwards now velocity of B w.r.t A

vBA = vB - vA

= v1^i - gt^j - v1^i

= gt^j

The package will look like it is falling vertically downward w.r.t. the plane.
