  1. When force is applied to a body it produces acceleration in the body.
  2. And acceleration ​changes the speed of the body.
  3. For example;

a) When a driver of a vehicle accelerates his vehicle in motion, the speed of the vehicle increases.

b) When a person applies the brakes in a car, suddenly the car comes to rest with decrease in speed.

  1. The force is a push or pull that can change or try to change the position, shape, size and direction of an object.
  2. For example; In the case of uniform circular motion, the force applied to the body only changes the direction of motion of the body continuously as the speed of the body is constant.
