Let the number of cans should be

purchorsed be $x$

Tetal cost $=20x$

Each cans has $3kg$ paints.

Total amount of paint $=3xkg$

$$\begin{array}{cc}\text{A mount of wastage}& =\frac{10}{100}\times 3x\\ & =\frac{3}{10}x\end{array}$$

$A/q,3x-\frac{3x}{10}=30$

$\Rightarrow 3x\left(\frac{10-1}{10}\right)=30$

$\Rightarrow x\times 9=10\times 10$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{100}{9}=11.11$

But $x\in N$

$\therefore x=12$

Hence,
