Solution

The correct option is A 209 days
Let the time taken by A = x days
work done by A in 1 day = 1x
A is thrice as efficient as B.
time taken by B =3× time taken by A = 3x days
work done by B in 1 day = 13x
B is twice as efficient as C.
work done by C in 1 day = 16x
time taken by C =2× time taken by B =2×3x=6x days
According to the question-
B completes the job in 10 days
3x=10
x=103
Work done of 1 day if A, B and C work together-
1x+13x+16x=310+330+360=18+6+360=2760=920
Hence, time taken to complete the job if A, B and C work together =209 days
