Question

A is thrice as good a workman as B and takes 64 days less than B for doing a job. Find the time in which they can do it together.


Solution

Here, $$k = 3, x = 64$$
$$\therefore$$ Time in which they can do it together $$= \cfrac{3\times 64}{3^{2}-1}=\cfrac{3\times 64}{8}=24$$ days
