Marked price (M.P) of fan = Rs. 1250
Discount $= 10 %$
$∴$ S.P of the fan
$= \frac{M . P \times (100 - d i s c o u n t %)}{100}$
$= \frac{1250 (100 - 10)}{100} = \frac{1250 \times 90}{100} = R s . 1125$
Gain $= 25 %$
$∴$ Cost price $= \frac{S . P \times 100}{100 + g a i n %}$
$= R s . \frac{1125 \times 100}{100 + 25} = R s . \frac{1125 \times 100}{125}$
