Let CD be the position of man at any time t. Let BD = x, then EC = x. Let ACE=θ
Given, AB = 41.6 m, CD = 1.6 m and dxdt=2m/sec
AE = AB - EB = AB - CD = 41.6 - 1.6 = 40m
We have to find dθdt when x = 30 m
From ΔAEC, tan θ=AEEC=40x . . . (1)
Diff. w.r.t to t,
sec2 θdθdt=80x2 cos2 θ=80x2.x2x2+402[ cos θ=xx2+402] dθdt=80x2402 (2)when x=30m, dθdt=80302+402=4125radian/sec
