The correct option is C 50 km per hour
Total time taken to travel from city A to city B
= 5 hours

Total distance covered from city A to city B in 1 hour
= 40 km

Total distance covered from city A to city B in 5 hours
= 40 × 5
= 200 km

Now for return journey,

Distance covered will be same

Distance covered = 200 km

Total time taken = 4 hours

Distance covered by man in return journey in 4 hour
= 200 km

Distance covered by man in return journey in 1 hour
= 200 ÷ 4
= 50 km

Distance covered in 1 hour = 50 km

Speed = 50 km per hour
