A mixture contains, CO23, SO23 and SO24.
If scheme given to identify above unknowns is true enter 1, if false enter 0.
Add dil. HCl, brisk reaction with pungent odour gas indicates SO23(and also CO23, pungent gas is SO2). Add K2Cr2O7 solution. If mixture turns green then SO23 is confirmed. Pass the evolved gas into lime water, if it turns milky, CO23 is confirmed.

Add dil. HCl, brisk reaction with pungent odour gas or odourless indicates the presence of either SO23 or CO23
pungent gas is SO2). Odourlss gas is CO2.
Add K2Cr2O7 solution.
If mixture turns green then SO23 is confirmed.
Sulphite ion reduces potassium dichromate to green coloured chromium sulphate (Cr2(SO4)3)
Pass the evolved gas into lime water, if it turns milky, CO23 is confirmed.
The lime water turns milky due to formation of insoluble calcium carbonate.
