A number is 27 more than the number obtained by reversing its digits. If its unit's and ten's digits are x and y respectively, write the linear equation representing the above statement.

Open in App
Solution

Let the number's unit's digit is x and ten's digit is y
Then the number=x+10y
If we reverse the number's digit then the number =y+10x
Given that the number is 27 more than the reversed number
So, (x+10y)(y+10x)=27
Or x+10yy10x=27
Or 9y9x27=0
Or yx3=0
