Question

A particle is moving on a curve given by y=2 sin2x (x and y are in metres). The x-component of velocity is always 2 m/s. If the particle starts from origin at t=0, then displacement in metres of the particle after π2 s is (answer upto 2 decimal places)


Solution

y=2sin 2x,vx=2 m/s=constant
At time t=π2 s,  x=2×π2=π m
and, at same time instant.
y=2sinπ=0
r=π^i
d=rfri=π^i0=π^i
d=π m
