A patient in a hospital is given soup daily in a cylindrical bowl of diameter bowl of diameter 7 cm. If the bowl is filled with soup to a height of 4 cm, how much soup the hospital has to prepare daily to serve 250 patients?

Soup is in the form of a cylinder with
Radius=r=Diameter2=72cm=3.5cm
Height=h=4cm
Volume of the soup in cylindrical bowl=πr2h=227×72×72×4=154cm3
Soup served to 1 patient=154cm3
Soup served to 250 patient=250×154=38,500cm3=38500×11000litres=38.5l using 1cm3=11000l
