Let the number of pens be x.
Then, number of pencils =108x
Cost of pens =7x
Cost of pencils =3(108x)
According to the question,
7x+3(108x)=564
7x+3243x=564
4x+324=564
4x=564324
4x=240
x=2404=60
Number of pencils =10860=48
