Solution

The correct option is D O
Human blood can be classified into different types of blood groups on the basis of the protein (antigen) present on the surface of the RBCs. There are two types of antigen - A and B.
  • People with antigen A have A blood group.
  • People with antigen B have B blood group.
  • People who have both A and B antigen have AB blood group. They are also called universal recipients as they are able to receive blood from all the blood groups.
  • People who neither have A nor B antigen have O blood group. Therefore, they are able to donate blood to all the other blood groups and are called universal donors.
