Given:
E=2 V; l=10 m
K=1 μV/mm=103 V/m, R=10 Ω

The potential drop across the wire will be

V=K×l=1×103×10=0.01 V

So, The current passing through circuit will be :

i=VR=0.0110=0.001 A

Let R be the resistance of rheostat, and current i also passes through the rheostat, so

i=ER+R0.001=210+R

R=200010=1990 Ω
