we have,

Refractive index, $n = \frac{sin i}{sin r}$

$1.5 = \frac{sin 30}{sin r}$

$∴ sin r = \frac{sin 30}{1.5} = 0.33$

$\Rightarrow r = {sin}^{- 1} 0.33 = {19.47}^{\circ}$
