The correct option is B 1.2 N

Resistance of ABCD = resistance AFED = 0.5 Ω

Effective resistance =0.25 Ω ( the two segments are connected in parallel)

Current in the circuit is given by,

I=ER=150.25=60 A
IABCD=IAFED=602=30 A


Here, FAB=FFA=FCD=FED=0

and FBC=FFE=BIl

=0.1×30×0.2=0.6 N

Fnet=FBC+FFE=0.6+0.6=1.2 N

Hence, option (B) is the correct answer.
