Given length =71 1/2=((71*2)+1)/2=(142+1)/2
So, length of Chord=143/2m
number of Pieces it has been cut into =26
length of each piece=( 143/2) ÷26
length of each piece= (143/2) × 1/26
length of each piece= 11/4 = 2 3/4m
