A scooter is has to cover a distance of 10km.He covers the first 4km at a speed of 40km/h.How fast should he run his scooter for remaining journey,such that his average speed for entire journey is 60km/h?

Given, avg. Speed of entire journey = 60 km/h
total distance =10 km
therefore, total time for entire journey=10km÷ (60 km/h) = 10 minutes
time taken for first 4kms= 4km ÷ ( 40 km/h) =6 minutes.
So the scooter has to cover remaining 6 kms at speed = 6km÷(4/60 hr) =90 km/h
