Solution

The correct option is A 600
Let M.P. be 100.
Discount = 10% of M.P.
=10100 of M.P.
=10100 × 100 = 10

S.P. = M.P. − Discount = 100 − 10 = 90
Gain = 20% of C.P.
=20100 × 450 = 90

S.P. = C.P. + Gain
= 450 + 90
= 540

If S.P. is 90, then M.P. is 100.
When S.P. is 540,
M.P. = 540×10090 = 600

∴ The M.P. of an article = 600
