Let the M.P=x
then adding sales tax x+10% of x=x+x10=1287Rs.
11x10=1287
x=1287011=Rs.1170
C.P of the article=800+transportation cost=800+100=Rs.900
Profit=1170900=270Rs.
Profit%=270900×100=30%
