Weights on one of the pans: 5 kg, 500 g and 25 g
Since the pans balance, the weight of the object must be equal to the sum of weights on the other pan.

1 kg = 1000 g
5 kg = 5 × 1000 g = 5000 g

Hence, the weight of the object is equal to 5 kg + 500 g + 25 g
= 5000 g + 500 g + 25 g
= 5525 g.
